Kristina Pereira

Kristina is a Senior Corporate Clerk in the Business Law Group at R&D LLP, where she supports the firm’s corporate practice across mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, corporate reorganizations, and corporate governance.

Kristina’s role spans the full lifecycle of corporate matters, including reviewing and maintaining corporate minute books, handling annual filings, managing closings, preparing record books, and ensuring the proper organization of corporate records and files. She also drafts closing and ancillary documents for transactions and works closely with the lawyers to ensure every matter is completed accurately and efficiently.

Kristina has worked alongside Brett and Garth for several years and regularly represents the firm at industry and networking events as an ambassador for R&D LLP. She has also participated in panel discussions, sharing her insights on legal operations and emerging practice technologies.

In addition to her transactional work, Kristina leads the firm’s implementation of practice management systems and legal technologies, helping streamline workflows and support the team’s focus on efficiency and client service. Her experience includes both private practice and in-house roles, and she brings a strong interest in start ups and industry disruptors, which aligns well with the firm’s entrepreneurial client base.

Kristina embodies the firm’s culture of professionalism, collaboration, and client focus, and she plays a key role in ensuring corporate matters run smoothly from start to finish.

Academic Background

Kristina received her Honours Bachelor of Arts at York University, prior to gaining her accreditation by the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.

Interests

Outside of work, Kristina enjoys travelling, cooking, hiking and spending time with her dog.
